Beijing Opens First Humanoid Robot Data Training Center
Share
Beijing has taken a major step forward in advancing humanoid robotics with the inauguration of its first Humanoid Robot Data Training Center in Shijingshan District. The facility, located in Shougang Park, spans approximately 3,000 square meters and is designed to serve as a hub for innovation, testing, and industry development in the field of humanoid robotics.

A Living Lab for Humanoid Robots
More than 100 humanoid robots are already operational within the center, demonstrating their ability to perform a wide variety of tasks that mirror real-world applications. These include:
- Assembling components in simulated workshops
- Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms
- Arranging bed sheets in living spaces
- Watering plants and harvesting crops such as tomatoes
- Performing other practical household and industrial duties
By replicating these diverse environments, the center provides critical training data that can accelerate the evolution of humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence.
Joint Development for Industry Growth
The project is the result of close collaboration between Shijingshan District and Ruiqing (Beijing) Robotics Co., Ltd.
- Shijingshan District contributes venues, funding, and support for real-world application scenarios.
- Ruiqing Robotics provides advanced equipment, technical teams, and operational expertise.
Together, they aim to establish a public technology platform that offers robust data services and infrastructure support for companies engaged in humanoid robotics and AI-driven embodied intelligence.

Building a Humanoid Robotics Industry Base
Looking ahead, Shijingshan District is developing a comprehensive industry model that combines funding, dedicated bases, and industry clusters. Core development will focus on specialized fields including:
- Embodied brains – advanced AI for humanoid cognition
- Intelligent perception – sensory systems for real-world interaction
- Motion control – high-precision robotic movement
- Key components – critical hardware for humanoid systems
The initiative will be anchored in two major hubs: the Shougang Winter Olympics Plaza and the Special Steel Park. These sites will form the foundation of a humanoid robot industry base integrating:
- Research & Development (R&D)
- Incubation of startups
- Exhibition and demonstration
- Inspection and testing services
Driving the Future of Robotics
The launch of this center represents more than just a local milestone—it signals China’s commitment to shaping the future of humanoid robotics. By uniting government, industry, and research, Shijingshan District is positioning itself as a leading hub for innovation in embodied intelligence.
As humanoid robots become more capable of performing daily tasks and industrial operations, facilities like this will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world deployment.
